Vue E-Code Terms & Conditions

The following terms & conditions apply in relation to Vue products and services that are provided by Vue Entertainment Limited through and in collaboration with Ello Group.

1.1 This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you or whoever you are buying products and services for (the member) the terms and conditions on which we (Ello Group Limited) supply Vue Entertainment Limited (VEL) and Vue Services Limited (Vue)products and services. These terms and conditions are between us (ELLO Group Limited) and you. To the extent that you have any queries or complaints in respect of these terms and conditions, please contact us and not Vue.

1.2 Taste Marketing Limited (t/a tastecard and Coffee Club) is owned and operated by Ello Group Limited and further details regarding Ello Group Limited can be found on our website: www.ellogroup.co.uk/. 

1.3 Taste Marketing Limited act as the ‘Agent’ for VEL and Vue ‘the Principal'
in relation to activities as part of Vue Pass, in the UK and EU. All sales are
considered VEL and Vue’s sales.

1.4 Taste Marketing Limited as the ‘agent’ are authorised by VEL and Vue to perform all tasks including, but not limited to, listing products, managing sales, managing customers, and processing transactions

1.5 You should retain a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.

1.6 Please understand that if you refuse to accept these terms and conditions you will not be able to continue with the service.

1.7 We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time by giving you notice by posting the amended terms and conditions on our site. However, please note that you will be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time of acceptance, unless any change to these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you).

1.8 If you sign-up for one of our products or services or otherwise engage with us, we will collect and use your personal data. 1.9 We may also share your personal data with VEL and Vue and other service providers engaged by VEL and Vue, as well as within the Ello Group of companies:

1.9.1 For the purposes of fulfilling any query that you have in relation to those products and services;

1.9.2 To ensure that products and services continue to be made available to you if we no longer collaborate with VEL and Vue to provide you with these products and services;

1.9.3 For the purposes of sending you marketing communications about VEL and Vue products and services using consent or legitimate interest where there is a lawful right to do so. 

1.9.4 or the purposes of sending you marketing communications about Ello Group products and services using consent or legitimate interest where there is a lawful right to do so.

1.10        VEL and Vue are independent controllers of any personal data that we share. To find out more about how and why VEL and Vue processes your personal data, please read their privacy policy which is available at https://www.myvue.com/legal/terms-and-conditions.

2.1 The services are operated by the Ello Group Limited group of companies comprising of the following;

2.1.1 tastecard and coffee club is owned and operated by Taste Marketing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 05545626 and with its registered office at Birkby Grange, 85 Birkby Hall Road, Birkby, Huddersfield, HD2 2XB. The VAT number is 220 9026 46.

2.1.2 Gourmet Society is owned and operated by Simard Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 06655278 with its registered office at Birkby Grange, 85 Birkby Hall Road, Birkby, Huddersfield, HD2 2XB. The VAT number is 220 9026 46.

2.1.3 hi-life is owned and operated by hi-life Diners Club Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 03940640 with its registered office at Birkby Grange, 85 Birkby Hall Road, Birkby, Huddersfield HD2 2XB. The VAT number is 220 9026 46.

3.1 By registering you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and you are at least 16 years old.

3.2 By purchasing a product where film classifications apply, you are doing so understanding the restrictions applicable to that film classification.

4.1 The contract between us will only be formed when you accept the terms and conditions. This acceptance confirms you agree to go ahead with the service.

4.2 You may have been provided access to the service by a third party and you therefore need to activate your service before you can use it. Please follow the instructions provided to you on the registration page sent via email.

5.1 The price of the service will be as quoted, except in cases of obvious error.

5.2 Prices include VAT.

5.3 Payments will appear on your statement as 'tastecard / Vue Cinema'

5.4 Prices or Offers are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you confirmation.

5.5 Payment can be made by Credit or Debit card, or through a 'wallet' on your device.

6.1 Subject to clause 6.3, if we fail to comply with these terms and conditions, our liability to you will be limited to the purchase value.

6.2 Subject to clause 6.3, we will not be liable for losses that result from our failure to comply with these terms and conditions that fall into the following categories:

6.2.1 Loss of income or revenue;

6.2.2 Loss of business;

6.2.3 Loss of profits; or

6.2.4 Loss of anticipated savings.

6.3 Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits our liability for:

6.3.1 Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;

6.3.2 Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

6.3.3 any breach of the obligations implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982; or

6.3.4 Any other matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude or attempt to exclude our liability.

6.4 Where you receive services from any third party, any losses or liability arising out of, or in connection with, such services shall be the relevant third party’s liability. We accept no liability for any bad experiences. We will not become involved in any dispute between you and venue.

6.5 We do not give any warranty for any goods or services accessed through, or displayed on, our site.

7.1 Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing. When using our site, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our website (s). For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

8.1 All notices given by you to us must be given to the Chief Operations Officer at vuecontactus@ellomedia.com. We may give notice to you at either the e-mail or postal address you provide to us when placing an order, or in any of the ways specified in clause 7 above. Notice will be deemed received and properly served immediately when posted on our website, 24 hours after an e-mail is sent, or three days after the date of posting of any letter. In proving the service of any notice, it will be enough to prove, in the case of a letter, that such letter was properly addressed, stamped and placed in the post and, in the case of an e-mail, that such e-mail was sent to the specified e-mail address of the addressee.

9.1 Failure by us to enforce any of these terms and conditions will not prevent us from subsequently relying on, or enforcing, them.

10.1 If any court or competent authority decides that any of the provisions of these terms and conditions are invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, the term will, to that extent only, be severed from the remaining terms, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11.1 A person who is not party to these terms and conditions shall not have any rights under or in connection with it under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

12.1 These terms and conditions and any document expressly referred to in them constitute the whole agreement between us and supersede all previous discussions, correspondence, negotiations, previous arrangement, understanding or agreement between us relating to the subject matter of these terms and conditions. We each acknowledge that, in entering into these terms and conditions, neither of us relies on, or will have any remedies in respect of, any representation or warranty (whether made innocently or negligently) that is not set out in these terms and conditions or the documents referred to in them. Nothing in this clause limits or excludes any liability for fraud.

13.1 This agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Vue Promotion terms and conditions

1.      Vouchers are valid for up to regular seats at non-Lux sites and Super Saver only at Lux sites; customers can upgrade at the point of booking at an additional cost 

2.      Valid at any Vue location in the UK

3.      Upgrades are available for 3D screenings, 3D glasses aren’t included in the upgrade price and can be purchased separately

4.      Current full Lux sites are: Basingstoke Festival Place, Bolton, Bristol Cribbs, Bromley, Cheshire Oaks, Croydon Purley Way, Cwmbran, Edinburgh Ocean, Edinburgh Omni, Exeter, Glasgow St Enoch, Harrow, Hartlepool, Islington, Leeds Kirkstall, Leeds Light, Manchester Printworks, Manchester Quayside, Newcastle UL, Northampton, Norwich, Plymouth, Poole, Portsmouth, Preston, Southport, Swindon, Thanet, Watford, York

5.      General Voucher Terms and Conditions apply unless stated above

1.      Vouchers can only be redeemed in site, not valid for redemption online

2.      Vouchers are valid for 20% off all food and drink items, with a minimum spend of £15

3.      Alcohol, Advertised Combo packages and non-Consumables (toys, promotional retail packaging, 3D glasses etc) are not included in any discounts

4.      Valid for a single transaction

5.      General Voucher Terms and Conditions apply unless stated above

1.      Tickets should be used at the time of the exchange and are valid for single-use only.

2.      Ticket is non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable. In no circumstances can ticket codes be sold or gifted to third parties, nor may they be exchanged for cash or merchandise. 

3.      Voucher codes may not be used in conjunction with any other ticket offer, including Meerkat Movies.

4.      Tickets can be redeemed at myvue.com, on the Vue app, or at the box office.

5.      Expiry date and validity of your E-code(s) is outlined within your confirmation email. These are not subject to any extensions. Tickets are strictly subject to availability, Vue shall not be responsible for a customer’s failure to redeem, book or obtain a suitable seat booking within the time prescribed limits. 

6.      Upgrades for IMAX, EPIC by VUE, Scene at Westfield, Ultra Lux and Lux seats at Birmingham, Basildon, Bedford, Dublin, Staines, West End, are available for an additional cost.

7.      Upgrades and additional fees are charged by and payable to Vue.

8.      Tickets are not valid for Event Cinema screenings (Big Screen Events), Movie Marathons (multiple films for one price), and Special Previews.

9.      Due to Vue’s advance booking policy, the film you wish to attend may be sold out and seats might not be available. The holder is not entitled to any preferential right over other cinema patrons.

10.    Film classifications apply. ID may be required.

11.    The cinema manager’s decision is final.

1.     Vouchers are valid for Super Saver seats; customers can upgrade at the point of booking at an additional cost

2.     Valid at any Vue location in the UK

13.  E-codes are not to be used for financial gain in resale.
